Roman Blinds are the modern way of
providing privacy and warmth with contemporary styling. They are
suitable for windows up to 3.2 metres in width and can be matched to
curtains in the same room. A simple tailored finish is usual, but they
can be ‘dressed up’ as in the example above. The blinds are given
structure by inserting fiberglass rods within pleats. Blinds can be made
to fit inside or outside the frame, but outside gives better insulation
and light control.
By using different grades of lining,
the blinds provide variations in light and thermal qualities. Common
treatments are with thermal or blackout linings.
